Type Locality and Naming
Along Mount Ramazan, Turkestan Range. 3. S. Rumyantseva, 1973 (387, p. 79). Stratotype on the southern slope of Mount Ramazan.
Synonym: Ramazan Suite, Рамазанская св.
Lithology and Thickness
According to A., - light gray algal-foraminiferal massive-bedded limestones. At the base of the stratotype, p. (thickness up to 4 m) thin-bedded ferruginous limestones, interbedded with red bauxite-like rocks. Thickness up to 90m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Transgressively overlies the limestones of the Akbulak-Carb Fm
Upper contact
It is conformably overlain by the Tamchisay Fm (165).
Regional extent
Northern slope of the Turkestan Range, Malguzar Mountains.

Contains foraminifera - Eostaffella lepida Grozd. et Leb., E. mutabilis Raus., E. acuta Grozd. et Leb., Novella pulchraPot., Schubertella gracilis znensis Raus., S. acuta Kir., Ozawainella cf. mosquensis Raus., O. umbonata Brazhn., Profusulinella prolibrovichi Raus., P. subovata Saf. and others, brachiopods - Choristites ex gr. mosquensis Fisch., C. cf. priscus Eichw., characterizing the deposits of the lower substage of the Moscovian stage.
